When people begin this journey, we like to say a particular phrase to them,

"Welcome to the beautiful world of neurodiversity!"

Yet, while that may be a beautiful thing to say, it also is not representative of most people's realities, and we do not shy away from that truth.  That's why we here.  At the DI are goals are to provide you with education, advocacy and support.  Within the following pages you will find information on what we like to call, "The D's" as well as Executive Function, Mental Health, Starting the Journey, Starting the School Year, and so much more.

There's a lot happening here at the DI and we're working hard and fast. 

Some pages are still under construction so please be patient, and truth be told this is a journey of constant learning, so as we ourselves continue to learn, we will continue to add more content. 

 

In progressing the cause of understanding, knowledge, ending the various myths & stigmas, and changing the world of education to not just embrace but harness the true capability of every individual, we collectively have a lot of work to do.  This isn't just about dyslexia or the D's, but it is about literacy, and truly enabling each individual to define life on their terms, with true & limitless possibility.  Until then, we hope you will find the pages below helpful as you traverse the wonderful and beautiful world of dyslexia, because once you discover the wonder of the dyslexic mind, you will truly be in awe of all that is possible.
